Romanian Project

Gemma Cavanagh who is a past pupil of St Peters Primary School, will be travelling to Romania in January 2015 with a group of other young people from her school to visit Orphanages in Romania. Children in the orphanages are very underprivilaged they live in extreme poverty. Some have disabilities and many die from deseases that we in this country have been free from many years. Gemma's task is to raise money to help these children while she is there. The money she gets from her different fund raising events will help to buy clothes, shoes and medicine for the poor orphans, as well as something they never get - a few toys. As a very special treat Gemma and her friends will bring the orphan children to Mc Donald's. Gemma and school mates from St. Patrick's College will spend time with these poor unfortunate children to try to give them as much help and kindness as they possibly can during their short stay. She would like to thank you all for your help in making her visit to these kids possible. When she returns she will provide us with a power point presentation on how she got on and to let you all see some photographes etc.

The Non-uniform day on Friday 28th November raised £129.00 and Gemma came in to school to receive her cheque and thank everybody in personal. We wish her all the best for her project and look forward to hearing from her when she returns.
