Grandparents Day Mass & Coffee Morning
A huge thank you to all involved today in our Grandparent’s Day Mass. It was a wonderful occasion and so well supported.
The children were delighted to play their part, musicians, choir and readers who performed brilliantly. Thank you to Fr Garrett for celebrating the Mass and those who served along with him. It was a lovely example of bringing families together. The theme for Catholic Schools Week this year is ‘Communities of Service’, which I believe really shone today in both the Mass and the coffee morning back in school.
Thank you to all our staff who prepared the children so well, Mrs McKenna for the choir and Mrs Campbell and the Parent Support Group for serving the refreshments back in school. Thank you to Mrs McCann and Mrs Killen for setting up the hall.
It was also a very fitting time to show our appreciation for our retired Chair of Governors Mr Sean Maguire and his wife Mairead who also served on the Governors for many years. They have served our school community earnestly and were presented with a picture of the school beautifully drawn by Farragh McGeary a past pupil. We wish Mairead and Sean our very best wishes for the future.
